I've been using Cerakote wipes for several years now. Not terribly expensive for what you get.

This timeline doesn't add up though. If you used it a year and a half ago, why are you just using it on your Civic now? I can't see why you wouldn't do that first thing even if you got it a month ago. Unless this is someone else's car. I'll keep watching
I used it 2 years ago on my wife's LX570 rear kick plate. Then put it on the Civic. Like Franks red hot sauce, I put that sh-- on everything!
Gx550 has a lighter frame and is not the same as the lx600. Not the same boss. Lx has bigger turbos thicker paint better interior and much more yet to be discovered. Wait for lx600 refresh.

I just acquired an 80 series and I have the icon 3 3” lift waiting to be installed. I don’t think the kit comes with the reservoir brackets. Please let me know where I can find them or what the solution is.
I just installed a Icon Stage 6 on a 200 series a.d.Icon supplied mounting brackets (it's a triangle flat metal piece, nothing elaborate. I would verify with Icon what is in your package.

PHH has been replaced on my 93, i checked the head gaskets like you suggested and they look good. she’s sitting on 35’s and my rpm’s DO NOT match yours, they’re SOOO much higher. i live in colorado and it has a snorkel..i wanna take her up in the mountains but im kind of scared to get on i70 with the lack of power on this thing..
I'm consider these but I'm worried about theft. The hard mounts probably are a bit more secure but the mounts that enable you to take them on and off are definitely prone to theft. Locks can be cut but even easier than that would be to just take a hammer or sledge and attack the clamp itself.

Not only transmission but getting parts in general for 12HT’s and HJ61’s in the USA aren’t easy. OEM parts are drying up.
Bought a clean 2005 GMC Canyon P/U that had never been shown attention to the solid vinyl bumpers trim. They were a weathered ashen grey and looked terrible. Decided to try Cerakote, keeping the Walmart receipt just in case it didn't live up to all the claims. Followed directions which included a full degrease/rinse/drying of surfaces. Parking in the shade, I began the application properly. It instantly SOAKED in & turned the faded vinyl dark as I spread the application towelette across & around until it finally was used up. Got about half the bumper treated with the one pad's application. The results were nothing less than IMPRESSIVE. It darkened the faded grey back to a dark grey with a nice bit of shine/gloss. Finished the entire bumper with a second new pad & it's been about 2 years without degradation. Not quite as shiney as before, but another treatment in the plans later in year. Easily worth the $$ and proudly show others the results. One "Happy Camper" 😃
Awesome! Since this video, I got the 4oz bottle of Cerakote with application pads..Definitely worth it. I did an entire Jeep Gladiator and not.just plastic, but powder coated aftermarket parts that weathered..ait made the faded powdercoat look like new again!! Love it!

What I get wrong Mate? We didn't get Diesels in the US. Obviously you prefer them down under bc you got a choice. We had no choice... until now. I love my 24V 1HD-FT. But parts are not easily accessible in short time. Anyhow, lay it on me, what I got wrong? I am always willing to learn. I also have 1HZ and 12HT in a 73 and a 61 series...

How much more capable is your 80 Series on 35s versus the 200 on them? I assume the front solid axle on the 80 makes a difference in hardcore off-road…
No 200 will out wheel a 80. 80 with solid front axle is on another level off road compared to any IFS Land Cruiser.

Please learn tire sizes. 315 is your tire width, nothing to do with diameter. 👍
Ok Tire police... so when we discuss tires, for inches it's 35/12.5/17 for instance. The 35" is tire diameter, the 12.5"for width and 17" for wheel diameter size. Then in Metric for instance, it's 315/70/17 (width/sidewall/wheel diameter) So the 315 is the width as you mention, at 12.4 inches. So in general when talking a 315 tire and a 35", to simplify when talking as comparison here in the US, we say the 315 is 34.4 and not a true 35". Perhaps I should just say the circumference is 107.9", but who would know what I was talking about except perhaps you? Oh yeah, and the 70 in the 315/70/17 is the sidewall, which represents 70% x 315 (width) which gives 220mm or 8.7". But again, who else would know this but you, I and a handful of people. So in summary, a 315/70/17 is a 34.4" tire. Interesting that 315/70/17 is a mix of metric and inches too, right? OK, thanks for playing!
I almost feel that you are more interested in aesthetics than the actual benefits of the mods. . .
Is it OK to want both? Obviously I got the best suspension, 3.0 fronts and added Dobinson bump stops , diff drop etc.. to cover all bases. Is it OK that I powdercoated some parts for my preferred look? Or does that bother you? I guess if I just wanted aesthetics I suppose I could have removed the OEM parts and put them back in? Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy peanut gallery comments and firing right back. Your comment makes me realize you own a LX470 series that is the Champagne Gold color, and you are still convincing yourself it's almost a Land Cruiser and it's about performance over aesthetics.
Just be sure to post when you do an off road trail and not a fire road. If you’re rubbing on pavement wait until you get some real off camber flex on jt. But the cruiser sure does look good.
@nphd JT? This is a Land Cruiser, not a Gladiator. When offroading I'd take my FJ40 on 40s, or the Gladiator on 43s. Yes.at full turn I touch the KDSS bolt, which we are going to flip around, vs doing the relocation. as for the sway, that moves in unison with the tire, and for flex, we did mud flap removal and some surgery which I can fine tune. Will do a test run soon.

Icon Stage 6 is 7995$ but comes on sale from time to time.. and Dobinson parts another $1200 plus install ~2k which includes tire mounting balancing and alignment.
Yea- going to stick with just new tires on the 570. I’ve got an 80 for rocks. Sweet custom suspension.
